Day Four - The good, the bad, and the late.

I did really well calorie/exercise wise yesterday, but not so good physically. Around midday I started getting really severe cramps and by 6 pm I was in bed for the night. I've always had really heavy periods (when I actually get them) and cramps, but nothing like what I experienced yesterday. It was horrible.

I can't check my stats out for yesterday because the site I use is undergoing some maintenance, but I know I was a few hundred calories under my allowance. I also wasn't planning on exercising yesterday, but wound up doing so to see if I could help relieve the cramps. It worked for all of five minutes and then I had to stop after another ten because...well...let's just say that the movement got things flowing and I didn't want to have to deal with blood stains on my clothes. Jeez...let me know if I'm grossing anyone out...I can leave this kind of stuff out of my posts. It doesn't bother me, but I know some people don't like to hear about it.

Chances are I won't update much if at all over the weekends. We do a lot of running around and I try to stay off the computer at least a little so I can spend time with my husband. I'm going to try to avoid crap food, but it's really hard during the weekend when we're together, running around and it's convenient. If I have to eat it, I'll try to stay away from anything too fat laden.

Weekends are hard on me too, for that same reason. I have been finding that th wraps at most places are a much better choice, if you can eat them without the creamy dressings. I try and put bbq sauce instead, and that's not bad.

As far as your period goes, I get heavy ones too, although it's been over a year. I find that taking advil makes my flow less heavy. I live on it for the first few days. It also helps with cramps. Well, at least for me it does.

I also think you should talk about whatever you want to...it's your blog. If someone stops reading because you shared how much you bleed, then they weren't worth it anyway. Those of us who love you don't care.

Wait, I didn't mean we don't care about you, I mean we don't care about how gross you get, not that that's gross....aw, hell. I just need to shut up!! LOL!!

LOL! *sniff* Nobody cares about me!!! ;)

You're right. I'm a bit of a self sacrificing blogger...there have been times I've deleted whole entries because someone disagreed with my opinion and I didn't want to piss anyone off/gross them out. I need to remember that if I lose a reader because they can't take what I'm writing about or it makes them mad that I didn't need them reading anyway.

Thanks so much for being here for me Jenn...your comments and opinions mean a lot to me!

If they don't like they can get over it quickly or move on even faster!
Keep up the posts!

It's these little things that help me remember to be grateful not to have the crampy/bloody part of the period thing anymore. I hope all your goodies start functioning more nicely soon, and keep up the good work!
